The annual Hong Kong Bus Day event at Sydney Bus Museum took place today. The event concentrated on running shuttle services, with Hong Kong buses, between the Museum and Town Hall in the Sydney CBD. The event also had a special photoshoot at White Bay before wrapping up.

Museum preserved former China Motor Bus MCW Metrobus ML1, the first tri-axle double decker in Hong Kong, was picking up passenger at the museum entrance. Privately preserved former Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Olympian BL66 (DE3271) was used as a display. Behind is ex Department of Government Transport Leyland Atlantean/Pressed Metal #1003. It was one of the 224 purchased in 1970s, and was intended to be sold to China Motor Bus in Hong Kong in their very early life due to industrial action, but the Labor Party stopped the sales.

I am grateful to Stehen Cho, Australian News Editor of British Buses Abroad Magazine for sending me the above photographs and explanations.
